Professional Experience and BackgroundTodd A. Gray is the Co-founder and Vice President of Mannion Gray. He specializes in defending catastrophic injury cases of all types, as well as, other cases with significant exposure in multiple jurisdictions. Todd’s cases often carry eight-figure exposure, demonstrating the level of trust his clients have in his abilities.
Todd has successfully defended manufacturers of all types of products including automobile and automotive components, forklifts, wood chippers, custom industrial equipment, recreation vehicles, hoists, cranes, lifts and booms, bolts and screws, commercial signs, and small appliances-just to name a few. For example, Todd has successfully defended two of the “Big Three” automotive manufacturers at trial on multiple occasions. He is also consistently called upon to defend trucking companies in cases involving death and catastrophic injury.
He has also has successfully defended many health care providers sued for malpractice including hospitals, nursing homes, doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, chiropractors and dentists. Within a 30-day period, Todd successfully defended back-to-back medical malpractice cases at trial, where each involved ventilator-dependent quadriplegic plaintiffs.
Todd not only defends injury cases, but also handles commercial litigation and errors and omissions cases. His clients include architectural, construction, real estate, and title companies. Recently, Todd was in an extended trial defending a large architectural firm, which involved a $38 million construction project.
He is a 1995 graduate of Eastern Michigan University. As a sophomore at Eastern Michigan, he was elected to the Ypsilanti City Council and became the youngest person ever elected to public office in the State of Michigan at that time. Todd then attended the University of Toledo College Of Law, where he served as Moot Court Vice Chairman and graduated Cum Laude in 1999.
